After a tough weekend in Monaco, Barbadian Formula 2 driver Zane Maloney has dropped to third in the standings with 69 points.
After having to retire from the sprint race due to a collision in the early stages on Saturday, Maloney encountered two more collisions in Sunday’s feature race but was still able to finish a commendable tenth place.
He first made contact with Taylor Barnard at the turn 6 hairpin and then on lap 40 Joshua Duerksen was next to pit but collided with Maloney.
Maloney, who came into Sunday’s race as the overall leader, only picked up one point to now sit third behind Paul Aron on 80 and Isack Hadjar with 78.
Maloney’s next race is on June 21-23 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain.
