Antwahn Boyce-Vaughan pushed himself to his limits to set a personal best at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
The 20-year-old swimmer placed second in heat one of the Men’s 50-Metre Freestyle in a time of 37.86 seconds, beating his old time of 41.18 seconds.
That heat was won by Rodrigo Hermosa of Paraguay, while Dexroy Creese of St Vincent and the Grenadines was third.
Boyce-Vaughan said that he was “happy with his performance and can’t wait to be back home,” in an interview with the Paralympic Association of Barbados.
