There was a special visitor at the St. Matthews Primary sports day at Friendship today.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and Member of Parliament Trevor Prescod paid a courtesy call on the day’s proceedings much to the delight of students, teachers, parents and other spectators.
The Prime Minister engaged students in conversation and was on hand for the day’s first race – the Girls Open 600 metres.
Speaking to CBC Sports PM Mottley says she was happy to see sports return to normalcy after the pandemic, and in soaking up the atmosphere said she felt uplifted.
Like the Prime Minister, Mr. Prescod was happy to be among the students on their sports day.
