Namibia needed a super over to secure victory against Oman in their T-20 World Cup group ‘B’ clash at Kensington Oval last night, after a low-scoring thriller.
Oman were bowled out for only 109 from 19.4 overs.
Left-arm pacer Ruben Trumpelmann took four for 21 and player of the match David Wiese had three for 28.
Namibia replied with 109 for six from their 20 overs, to tie the match.
Wiese was the hero again with bat and ball, contributing 13 runs in the Africans’ super over a total of 21 before restricting Oman to 10 runs.
