Barbadian Formula 2 Driver Zane Maloney failed to score any points in the Baku Sprint Race today championship aspirations took a hit.
The 20-year-old Bajan driver was caught in a chaotic midfield battle and ultimately finished outside the points in 10th place.
Despite a promising start, Maloney who started the race 7th on the reverse grid struggled to maintain his position throughout the race, losing ground to his championship rivals.
Isak Hadjar maintains the lead with 165 points, Gabriel Bortoleto now has 158.5 Points, Maloney is third with 135 points and Paul Aron is close behind in 4th with 127.
A strong performance in tomorrow’s feature race is crucial for the Bajan driver to stay in contention for the championship.
