Deandra Dottin returns to international cricket

July 27, 2024

Barbadian all-rounder Deandra Dottin has reversed her international retirement from cricket and will be available to play for West Indies again.

Cricket West Indies confirmed the 33-year-old’s decision that comes ahead of the T20 World Cup, scheduled to be played in Bangladesh later this year.

Dottin, one of the most decorated players in West Indies history, holds the record for the fastest century in Women’s T-20 internationals.

Having hit five centuries in international cricket, Dottin surprisingly announced her retirement a couple of years ago citing reservations with the team environment.

She will now be a part of the West Indies camp in August and will also lead Trinbago Knight Riders in the women’s C.P.L prior to the T-20 World Cup.
