President of the Barbados Football Association Randy Harris says positive results will not come overnight, following a disappointing performance from the senior men’s national team in the first round of the 2023/24 CONCACAF Nations League.
Playing in Group B of League B, the Tridents suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to Montserrat, before being thrashed by Central American counterparts Nicaragua.
Harris also highlighted the need for more professional players to represent Barbados in international football, to help change the fortunes of the national team.
Next month, Barbados will battle Dominican Republic in a home and away tie, in an effort to turn around their fortunes and avoid relegation to League C.
