Barbados will be represented by a four member team at the 2024 Ironman Maryland Triathlon event today.
It is one of the most prestigious endurance competitions in the world, featuring a 3.8-kilometre swim, 180-km bike ride and 42.2-km marathon run.
Ahead of the team’s departure, debutant Janelle Clarke said it’s a dream come true to be able to compete.
Meantime, competitor and team coach Oein Josiah says the team is well-prepared, and raring to go.
