Jamaica Scorpions produced an all-round performance to defeat Barbados Pride by a massive 64 runs in Group “B” of the CG Super-50 Cup tournament Thursday night in Antigua.
The Scorpions scored a competitive 277-6 off their 50 overs at the Viv Richards Stadium.
Captain and player of the match Rovman Powell top-scored with 80 off 54.
In reply, the pride were bowled-out for 213 in 44.1 overs.
Captain Shai Hope top-scored with 86, inclusive of 7 fours and a six, and Roston Chase got 57.
Nicholson Gordon took 3-21, while there were two wickets apiece for Jeavor Royal, Odean Smith and Dennis Bulli.

Both teams now have four points with 1-1 records, while the Leeward Islands top Group “B” with eight points.
Barbados will play the Leewards on Sunday.
