Barbados have ended the Central American & Caribbean Swimming Championships with 19 medals.
Competing on the final night of competition in Monterrey, Mexico, Heidi Stoute won her fifth gold medal in the girls’ 13 to 14 400 metre freestyle.
Also taking gold was Danielle Treasure, in the girls’ 18 and over 200 metre backstroke.
She also won bronze in the 400-metre freestyle.
Other medal winners on the final night were:
Stoute, Jaiya Simmons, Kaitlin Bbalgobin and Toria Alleyne – silver in the girls’ 13 to 14 400 metre medley relay.
Victor Ashby – silver in the boys’ 13 to 14 100 metre butterfly.
Kaija Eastmond – bronze, girls’ 11 to 12 100 butterfly.
And Michael Sobers – bronze, boys’ 11 to 12 200 metre backstroke.
The team returns home today.
