Barbados under-19s defended a small total to beat Jamaica under-19s by nine runs in the West Indies Rising Stars men’s under-19 50-over Championship in St. Vincent Friday.
Winning the toss and batting at Park Hill playing field, Barbados were bowled out for 126 in 35.5 overs.
For Jamaica spinner Tamarie Redwood snapped up 5-34, while Micah Greenidge top-scored with 21.
In reply, Jamaica were bowled out for 117 in 37.4 overs for Barbados to win by 9 runs.
Zishan Motara was the pick of the bowlers with 3-17 and Raneico Smith 3-32.
Barbados’ next match will be against Guyana on Sunday.
