Barbados are double champions of the Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Men’s Under-19 Championship.
Playing in the final round of the 50-over leg at Cumberland playing field in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados under-19 men defeated the Leeward Islands under-19s by six wickets today.
Deciding to take the first knock, the Leeward under-19s were bowled out for 105 off 39.4 overs, led with 20 from Isra-el Morton.
Saurav Worrell took four for 28 and Zishan Motara had two for 17.
In reply, Barbados under-19s rode on 40 from Joshua Dorne and 30 from Joshua Morris, to reach the target on 110 for four off 25.1 overs.
Barbados played unbeaten, with four wins and a no result.
They were also undefeated winners of the two-day championship earlier in the championship.
