Barbadian surfer Barry Banfield went out of the World Masters Surf championships today after losing his repechage fourth round heat at El Sunzal, El Salvador.
Banfield, who had a good run in the Men’s Masters 40-Plus division in trying to make it back into the main draw, scored a 9.40 wave total to finish in third position.
That’s the end of the road for Team Barbados at the championships after the other surfer, Elvis Carter, went out in Round One of the Men’s repechage of the 60-Plus Men Kahuna division.
