Ronald ‘Suki’ King was in fine form as he won the inaugural Henderson Layne Elite Draughts Tournament.
Playing in the 9th and final round at the Draughts Centre in Best Road Christ Church, King topped the standings with 24 points.
His arch-rival Jack Francis settled for second with 22 points and the consistent Jeffery ‘Socks’ Clarke third with 20 points the same as Rawle Williams.
King dispatched Ryan Eustace with a win and a draw, while Francis drew both matches against Darwin Lorde.
Likewise Clarke was held to a draw by Trevor Howell, while Williams had a win and a draw against Michael Barker.
Tournament Director Mike Edgefield said he was impressed with the standard of play by the top finishers.
