The Barbados Meteorological Services is closely monitoring the progress of a tropical wave, presently located along 26W (about 3578km or 2223 miles to the east of Barbados) at 11:00 am today Thursday, September 21, 2023.
This feature has the potential to develop into a tropical depression over the next few days due to favourable environmental conditions. Current model data indicates some uncertainty in the forecast track and intensity. Nevertheless, the tropical wave is likely to drift across the Eastern Caribbean during the early to mid part of next week.

- There are currently NO WATCHES OR WARNINGS IN EFFECT FOR BARBADOS.
-The public should stay alert for updates from the BMS on this system over the next few days.
