The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) is advising stakeholders that the regional examinations will be administered as scheduled.
This following the news yesterday of the theft of secure fireproof cabinets containing examination papers for 9 subjects from a school in Jamaica.
CXC says the decision was taken following consultations with Ministries of Education from across the region this morning.
It revealed that to date, there has been no confirmation that the cabinet containing examination papers has been compromised.
The organisation has reassured candidates that their best interests continue to be at the centre of their decisions and processes and wished candidates well in their examinations.
CXC says as police continue their investigations in Jamaica, the security of the regional examinations will continue to be monitored by the CXC and Ministry officials.
