The Ministry of Education is increasing the screening of children for auditory, speech and visual challenges.
That’s according to Minister of Education, Technological and Vocational Training Kay McConney who says beginning this upcoming academic school year, children that are three and five years old would be screened for visual challenges.
Ms. McConney made the disclosure while speaking at a graduates’ reception for all special needs students for successfully completing the common entrance examination.
Minister McConney adds that the Ministry will also continue to expand its resources to facilitate diagnostic testing for students experiencing learning challenges.
