The youth of Barbados had their day to shine today, as part of the National Youth Parade and Cultural Extravaganza.
The celebrations kicked off at the historic Kensington Oval, with armed and unarmed detachments on parade, along with cultural performances and speeches.
It was there that Minister of Youth Charles Griffith reminded hundreds of young people in attendance that they represent the future of the island.
