Police are on the scene of an unnatural death in Emerald Park West in St Philip.
Communications and Public Affairs Officer, Inspector Rodney Inniss, says the victim is a woman believed to be in her 50s.
The suspect who is reportedly in his 70s has been taken for medical attention.
Inspector Inniss says police were summoned to the residence sometime after five this morning when a caller reported an ongoing dispute at the home.

Police from the southern division responded to a residence at Emerald Park West, St. Philip after receiving a report via a telephone call at the Operations Control Room about 455 am on Friday 20th September 2024.
The nature of the call was that a domestic dispute between a man and a woman was in progress and that a female was believed to be dead at the scene.
Police responded to the scene and on arrival were pointed to an area of a residence where the motionless body of a female was found.
One male is assisting with our investigations into this matter. He allegedly ingested a poisonous substance and was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
