The Graydon Sealy will not be open today Thursday, July 11, as there is no water at the school. At approximately 10:00 last night, a water main burst in the vicinity of the school.
A crew from the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) turned up at the site but could not address the problem immediately. The water pressure has been turned down allowing some residents in the area to have limited access to water, however, the school remains without. The BWA will conduct further excavation to address the issue but cannot definitively state when regular service can resume.
The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training appreciates the public’s understanding of the matter.
