It has been set up to respond to the need to educate and empower current and future activists and leaders.
UWI Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Hilary Beckles says it is also designed to export Caribbean knowledge.
The new International School for Development Justice has the support of Trinidad and Tobago’s Minister of Education, Nyan Gadsby-Dolly.
She says it’s a proud moment for UWI as it moves into the global online education market.
