As part of the Ministry’s Education Transformation Programme principals and teachers have received instruction on how to use data to drive improvement in the teaching process.
A workshop put on by the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training uses data to help measure the progress of the children in the classroom.
Chief Education Officer Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw told the teachers that instructional leadership is the way to go and they intend to continue professional development courses.
Addressing the participants on the final day of the sessions at Erdiston Training College, she added that the workshop was not by chance.
Workshop Facilitator Dr. Jennifer Obediah spoke about the reach of the training, which is geared towards improving class four students.
