27-year-old Reshawn Damar Phillips, who was charged with several offences, including ” Dishonestly Assisted in the Disposal – of a motor car valued at $19,000.00,” was granted bail when Magistrate Deborah Beckles on Wednesday.
Phillips was not required to plead to the disposal charge when he appeared in the District ‘D’ Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail at a sum of $10,000.00. He, however, pleaded guilty to all road traffic offences and was fined a total of $1,700.00.
He is to reappear at the District ‘B’ Magistrate’s Court on October 11, 2024.
Here is a breakdown of the fines for the traffic offences:
• No driver’s license – $500.00
• No insurance coverage – $750.00
• Failing to register the motor vehicle – $250.00
• Failure to stop at the scene of a road traffic accident – CRD
• No front registration number plate – $200.00
The total of $1,700.00 is to be paid by October 31, 2024, or he will spend 60 days in prison.
