The Integrity in Public Life Bill 2023 has been passed with unanimous support in the Lower House yet again after Debate in Parliament Friday.
The revamped Bill was reintroduced after much consultation from a wide crosssection of the Barbadian public.
The Bill was defeated in the Senate back in August 2020.
Speaker of the House, his Honour Arthur Holder confirmed the Bill reached the two-thirds constitutional threshold.
During Debate, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley revealed there are concerns the Bill may cause a reduction in the number of persons willing to serve.
She says Government understands the risk but is prepared to take it.
