The United Kingdom has launched a year of activities aimed at increasing its collaboration with Barbados.
British High Commissioner, Scott Furssedonn-Wood made the announcement last evening, during a reception at his residence to celebrate the continued partnership between the UK and Barbados.
Noting that Barbados accounts for only 0.1% of the UK’s trading activity, he has expressed a desire for that to be increased.
In addition to technology and culture, the UK will be placing particular emphasis on education and food and drink.
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Sandra Husbands says Barbados and the UK reached agreement on a number of things during recent talks about increasing trade between the two countries.
