Parents have been called upon to treat the day of the Common Entrance Exam as a normal school day.
Education Officer in the Minister of Education, Technology and Vocational Training, Donna Roberts, also wants them not to pressure the students.
She was speaking during a town hall meeting at the Alexander School, for parents of children preparing for this year’s Common Entrance Exam.
She told the gathering the examination will take place on Tuesday, May 7, and will consist of three papers; an essay paper which will be for thirty minutes duration, an English paper which would be for one hour and twenty minutes and a maths paper of one hour and fifteen minutes.
The Education Officer said every child is guaranteed a place in a government secondary school.
