It’s back-to-school for thousands of students across Barbados and those at Workman’s Primary received a special welcome.
Principal Sandra Downes greeted students, guardians and staff as they entered the campus this morning.
She told CBC News that they were all set to get back to teaching, with teachers showing their excitement by decorating the classrooms to welcome students.
There was a special assembly at the Springer Memorial School, as the Government Hill-based institution is also celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
2024 Junior Monarch finalist Ranesha Stewart serenaded her schoolmates with Andra Day’s “Rise Up” as they kicked off the 2024-2025 school year.
