Police are investigating a house fire, which occurred about 9:30 a.m. this morning at Date Tree Hill, St. Peter.
According to a Police bulletin just in, a two-bedroom, one-bathroom, 24 x 26 timber and wall house was completely destroyed. Sixty-nine year-old Isuma Corbin owned the house. A second structure near the house received heat and water damage.
Four fire tenders and eight fire officers under the command of Station Officers, Scantlebury; Sub Officer, Williams and Leading Fire Officer, Foster from the Barbados Fire Service responded and extinguished the fire.
There were no injuries and investigations are continuing into this incident. (Barbados Police Service)
