Despite the predictions for a global economic slowdown and modest growth in the latest world economic report, finance expert, Professor Justin Robinson expects Barbados to record solid economic growth in 2023.
Professor Robinson, who is the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the board of undergraduate studies at the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill bases this on a strong tourism rebound for Barbados and the country’s recovery from COVID-19.
Professor Robinson’s comments came on CBC TV 8’s Morning Report.
He adds that while inflation is coming down globally, it remains high and that Barbadians should expect prices to remain high locally.
