Social dialogue is defined as including all types of negotiation, consultation or simply exchange of information.
Minister of Labour, Social Security and the Third Sector, Colin Jordan says it must take place between workers and employers, the Third Sector and civil society.
He was among the panel for a dialogue on improving coherence between economic and social policies.
It formed part of the inaugural forum of the Global Coalition on Social Justice at the 112th International Labour Conference.
