Shining Stars Calypso Tent to pay tribute to female calypsonians

This year, the Carter’s Shining Stars Calypso Tent will be paying tribute to female calypsonians.

Tent Manager Julianna Sealy says the tent will open on June 28 with a show-themed, ‘Strength of a Woman’, at the Daphne Joseph Hackett Theatre.

Speaking at the tent’s launch at Carter’s Wildey, St. Michael, Ms. Sealy said there will be special performances by former calypsonian Kathy Lewis and Lady Lystra from Trinidad and Tobago.

Meanwhile, 2023 Pic-O-De-Crop finalist Don Ross Oliver says he is hoping to reach the big stage once again with his song – ‘Power of the Caribbean’.
