Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security, Indar Weir believes the ongoing black belly sheep partnership between Barbados and Guyana is achieving its objectives.
He made the comment to CBC News, also indicating that Barbados has sent off another shipment of the animals to Guyana.
They left over the weekend.
Mr. Weir says he has every confidence the partnership will allow Barbados to reach the target of a million black belly sheep.
He also says that Suriname will be a key part of the overall effort.
