Independent Senator Andrew Mallalieu has taken issue with a section of the Corporation Tax Top Up Bill which gives the Minister power to determine whether a business can be considered small.
He’s questioning why this is necessary, as the legislation sets out what constitutes a small business.
It states it must have at least two of the following: capital under a million dollars, and sales under two million or 25 employees or less.
