Police have officially identified the deceased in last night’s shooting in Rock Hall, St. Philip.
He is 17-year-old Dashawn Hinkson of the same address.
Hinkson was liming with friends when three men approached and opened fire.
The victim was struck during the melee and ran to seek shelter in a neighbour’s home.
However, he collapsed and died inside of the house.
Police investigations are ongoing.
