Motorists are being reminded not to drive on Swanns Bridge in St. Andrew, as it is deteriorating and dangerous.
The bridge was closed by the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) in April of this year.
The Belleplaine Depot has placed boulders at the entrance and exit of the bridge to prevent persons from using it.
A temporary link road joining the communities of Rock Hall, Swanns, Turner’s Hall, and Bawden’s is presently being constructed by the Depot.
Motorists travelling to Rock Hall, St. Andrew via Walkers/Bawdens should divert onto Farley Hill and continue onto Black Bess to enter Rock Hall.
MTW thanks the public for their patience and cooperation.
