Barbados Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley on a visit to Vatican City has met with Pope Francis.
A statement released by the Holy See Press Office said following the meeting, Prime Minister Mottley met with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State, accompanied by the Under-Secretary for Relations with States.
It states during the cordial discussions, satisfaction was expressed over the good relations between Barbados and the Holy See.
Several topics of mutual interest, such as the effects of climate change, as well as current socio-political issues were also discussed.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to promoting the common good of the people of Barbados.
