Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has described the country’s current situation of population decline as a national crisis.
Speaking during the Barbados Labour Party’s Annual Conference at the Daryll Jordan Secondary School this evening, the Prime Minister says this is one of the reasons why Government continues to be committed to pension reform.
She has also made the point again that managed migration will have to be among the solutions to the problem.
Prime Minister Mottley has also announced a ramping up of efforts to satisfy the demand for housing by boosting supply.
