The Pan American Health Organization praise Barbados for its decision to introduce the policy on Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults.
Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. The Most Honorable Jerome Walcott says the policy not only raises awareness about NCDs but presents strategies for action.
Dr. Walcott was at the time addressing the opening of the 60th Directing Council of the Pan American Health Organization.
The Directing Council is one of PAHO’s governing bodies that brings together the highest health authorities of the Americas to discuss and analyze policies and set priorities for technical cooperation and collaboration among countries.
