Pleasure craft, fishing vessels lost to Hurricane Beryl

At least 2 pleasure craft, and about 20 fishing vessels have been lost to Hurricane Beryl.

In addition, many more fishing boats have been damaged in the storm surge, which accompanied the powerful hurricane.

This from Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley as she spoke following the announcement by Minister of Home Affairs Wilfred Abrahams that the all clear had been given.

She says while Barbados evaded the worse of Hurricane Beryl, significant clean up will be required.

Prime Minister Mottley also revealed, authorities have received preliminary reports of around 40 houses being damaged.
