As the 2024 Crop Over season heats up, Road Safety Advocate Rolan Lowe is pleading with party-goers who plan on consuming alcoholic beverages to have a designated driver.
Mr. Lowe, President of the Barbados Road Safety Association tells CBC News it’s important people follow his advice to avoid road accidents and fatalities this Crop Over season and beyond.
While Barbados recorded its eleventh road fatality for the year last Saturday night, Mr. Lowe says he believes Barbadians generally obey road rules.
He says, road users who do not follow rules and regulations need to start doing so.
