A number of Barbadians have heeded the warnings by officials to seek shelter if necessary, at any of the island’s 33 hurricane shelters.
As of right now there are over 400 people in shelters and close to 100 of them are at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre. Richard Foster is one of them, and the elderly man told our Krystal Hoyte how he’s feeling.
Shelter Manager Taahir Batson provided details as it relates to those in the shelter and preparation.
Meanwhile, over at George Lamming Primary School a family of eight sought shelter.
