The National Training Initiative (NTI) and the Barbados Workers Union (BWU) has launched its e-learning hub partnership.
This is the NTI’s second three-year partnership with Coursera which means Barbadians now have unlimited access to the offerings.
Director of NTI, Dr. the Honourable Allyson Leacock, explains the new memorandum of understanding is a promise and a blueprint for empowerment through education.
She was speaking during the launch at the BWU’s Solidarity House.
Meanwhile, BWU’s General Secretary Toni Moore says in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic they looked for opportunities to expand the union’s online training.
She however adds they needed to do more to make people aware of the availability of the programmes.
