The former COVID monitors who were worried about their roles this new school year have been retained, but with a different title and responsibilities.
Acting Prime Minister Santia Bradshaw says the 220 who were deployed at the nursery, primary and special schools, assisted greatly and Cabinet has taken a decision to retain them.
Ms. Bradshaw says they will assist the teachers in various ways.
The Acting Prime Minister also provided an update on the Fruitful Hill project, which a number of former ash fall workers are on.
They have been retrained and are helping with the road works projects in the Scotland District.
