Chief Justice Leslie Haynes is confident the appointment of Justices of Appeal and High Court Judges will help to ease the backlog in the local court system.
He made the comment at State House, after Victoria Charles-Clarke and Bryan Lawson Weekes were sworn in as the island’s newest Justice of Appeal and High Court Judge respectively.
Relatives were present to witness the historic occasion.
Both Madam Justice Charles-Clarke and Judge Weekes are upbeat and ready for their new roles.
