Barbados has suggested a re-look of teaching methods and theories is required.
Chief Education Officer Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw put forward the suggestion during the question and answer segment of a Regional Symposium and Policy Dialogue on Transforming Education.
It was hosted by the Caribbean Development Bank in the Cayman Islands.
Citing mathematics as an example, Dr. Archer-Bradshaw says many teachers teach the subject in an abstract way.
