More men are coming forward to be tested for prostate cancer in Barbados.
The revelation ahead of this weekend’s Prostate Cancer Walk and Run of the Barbados Cancer Society from Coordinator Michelle Straughan.
During a site visit by the organisers, the Barbados Cancer Society, Cemix, Barbados Police Service officials and the District Grand Lodge of Barbados, Scottish Constitution, the coordinator said a change in the testing procedure has resulted in an increase in the number of men being tested.
A spokesman for the District Grand Lodge of Barbados, Scottish Constitution, Colonel Glyne Grannum said there is also a rise in number of men registered to take part in the event on Sunday.
