Government Senator Patricia Parris would like to see more follow-up for people seeking the services of the Welfare Department.
She believes consideration should be given to setting up a help desk, with people available to take the calls from those people who need urgent assistance.
She says while Government has been making great strides in providing more opportunities for Barbadians in the face of crisis after crisis, the help desk would go along way in helping those who are still facing challenges.
