Minister of Home Affairs and Information Wilfred Abrahams says same sex unions were not contemplated in the drafting of changes to the Sexual Offences legislation.
He’s been responding to concerns raised by Opposition Leader, Ralph Thorne about the gender neutralisation of the language in the amendments to the Bill debated in Parliament yesterday.
He also further clarified the use of the term spouse.
