The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office with Responsibility for Culture has responded to calls for her resignation.
Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight has acknowledged some people believe she and the Chief Executive Officer of the National Cultural Foundation, Carol Roberts, should be sacked for the handling of the 50th anniversary of Crop Over.
However, Senator Munro-Knight has suggested critics are viewing the festival through a single lens, looking only at a few events.
The Minister says what must also be considered are the developmental programmes which the NCF has been investing in.
