Miami Carnival, the largest in North America, is celebrating 40 years and the role Barbados and Barbadians have played through those years has been recognised.
Marketing Director, John Beckford says the event has grown over time, acknowledging the efforts of board members past and present.
He says Miami Carnival is a highly anticipated event, not just for revellers, but for tourism stakeholders.
Mr. Beckford was a guest on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
